“Warfare has never been so cosmically beautiful, and melodic.” -HubPages

“A game that helps fuel the argument over whether or not video games can be art.” -NWCN Gaming Guru

Auralux is an abstract, essentialized, and simplified real-time strategy game.

You command only one type of unit and have only one type of order to give those units. You and your opponents start the game with precisely equal resources. Quick reflexes will get you nowhere. The only path to victory is through clever strategy.

Auralux features a slow, floating feel and vibrant minimalistic graphics. The entire game pulses to the rhythm of ambient music, and the player's actions evoke sounds that smoothly coalesce into melody.

This game is designed to provide a relaxing, cerebral experience. Every choice matters, and only the best strategies will succeed.

Features:
-Includes every feature and more from the renowned PC game.
-Free to try for as long as you like! Simply purchase additional levels for a very low price if you enjoy the game and want more challenges.
-Gameplay optimized for touch screen devices.
-Countless hours of gameplay
-Two available game modes : Normal and Speed Mode, with a secret mode for hardcore players to unlock!
-Relaxing, ambient soundtrack brings you into a rhythm and meditative state.

Fun, Simple RTS with a Beat Really beautiful ambient game, with a simple but addictive bare minimum management play style for an rts. The background music is great with an upbeat sound and I absolutely love how the sound effects blend into the beat seamlessly becoming part of the music. The only complaint I could possibly give is that you can only play as blue and not the other colors, but that frankly doesn't matter. (Colorblind mode is a nice feature, kudos to the makers for including it.) Full Review

Really fun an incredibly well implemented RTS! What can I say, incredibly unique experience yet so familiar to RTS players. Gets HARD very quick though and takes a lot of retries even on easy! I finally found relief on the second level by becoming a turtle and using gorilla tactics when the other two enemies were engaged. Surprising to have to resort to these measures on only the second level! Full Review

Very good game. Simply addictive Very good game. Simple, addictive and just the right amount of challenging. I'm not just taping a screen I'm playing a well developed strategy game! I'd love to see more of this. Would like to see: add the ability to autosend star spawn to other stars/destinations. Would allow for active management of larger star grids and would cut down on tapping when sending in backup and preparing preliminary strike forces. Full Review

Fun, pretty, challenging, and not spammy. In addition to being elegantly simple, strategically interesting, and visually appealing, this game is remarkably non-spammy. The "rate this game" request is unobtrusive. The free levels are an excellent way to determine whether you want to pay for more. The non-free levels are well worth the price, in my opinion. Competing with your own times gives them replay value. It's the sort of quality I hope for in Android games, but seldom find. Full Review

Good and solid troop strategy game. Unique due to it's ability to move troops where-ever you want. This is a great addition. Takes a heavy loss due to the fact it only has few levels unless paid for. Adding advertisements would be good enough. The levels aren't that hard to make so that should not be a reason of pay. Base game would be worthy of pay though. But no more than €3,95 Full Review

Simple and brilliant!! Auralux is an austere RTS that simplifies the genre to it's basic core elements. Upgrade your base planet, defend your planets from hostile enemies while overtaking neutral planets on your way to domination of the planet systems. Beautifully implemented aural effects complement the crisp, classy visual aesthetics, combining to create a wonderful synthesia married to a beautiful control system unmatched in the genre. Fantastically challenging, with depth and longevity...a real treat. 5 stars!! Full Review

Very well thought out I enjoy how it is very well thought out, no glitches so far, have found myself becoming very competitive against orange, green, and pink. May I suggest some adjustments? Sometimes during a game I need to pop out, and when I come back the game needs to be restarted. Then there is the speed of the units, would you be able to speed them up a little? Not so that they are zipping across the screen, just so you don't have to wait a mintue for a cloud to attack the enemy on the other side of the screen. Full Review

Probably In the top 5 best games ever created for android, it's really that good. The AI is superior to anything else I've seen, but it does have it's weaknesses, and when you finally find them, they are super easy to exploit for the win, FORTUNATELY by the time you figure them out, you've already won the game 😜 so don't go worrying about that too much. I would LOVE to play on and on with this game, but there's just nothing left, it reminds me of that feeling i get when i finish a show on Netflix. Sigh... Full Review

Fun and relaxing Beautiful game and incredibly soothing despite the conquest goal. I've only played a few levels, but they've loaded instantly and have had no issues. My only complaint, if there is to be one, is that the sound schemes aside from synthetic are rather harsh on the ears. That my only complaint is that something optional doesn't work for me should speak volumes. Full Review

Great gameplay Auralux looks very plain, but once you start that tutorial you'll realize it's something else. You blink, suddenly two hours disappeared in a flash an you're dehydrated an hungry. At least from my experience. One of the best strategy games I've came across on here yet. Good job developers on thinking of such a great idea. Very addicting!! Full Review

Amazing I heard it mentioned on the Security Now! Podcast, and I knew I had to try it if Steve loved it. And the man was right! The game is simple to pick up,the second level took "only" about half an hour and I'm hooked. This is the type of fun I will dish money out for once I conquer the galaxy... Or at least the free levels. The settings UI is not what you would call amazing, but the gameplay is! Full Review

Brilliant in its minimalism Basic strategy broken down right to the core. No fancy graphics or frills, but the gameplay is impressive. Would've loved a multiplayer option and more free levels. The one thing that separates this one from the whole host of other RTS games of this particular style is the time it takes for your army to build and the time it takes to reach your destination. Being instantaneous like biotix and microcosm killed the beauty of this particular RTS genre. Wonderful game guys! Thank you! Full Review

Slow Paced Strategy Fun Engaging with lots of replay value. I run inside of 'Clean Master' & this seems to help improve battery life. It would be nice if, when returning to the main menu, the app would remember which level was finished last instead of having to swipe through all of the stages to get to the next level. Also, when exiting the game my display often remains stuck in landscape mode. Full Review

Amazing strategy game This game's concept is exceptional. I love the level design and the enemy AI, and with that the game itself. One of the better games on the Play Store. The only thing I would reccomend: Make the current second level "Hard" difficulty. A lot of people complain about this level for a reason. I have still not completed it as of now, but I have beaten the "Occulus"(?) Level (Which was extremely fun I might add). Overall, amazing game with a calming rythmic atmosphere to it. I reccomend it. Addicting Game is very fun, keeps your focus and is simple yet very pleasing. I've been playing it for weeks and still find myself playing whenever i have a few minutes to spare. It is fun alone, but speed mode is definitely the only way to play. Would attract/keep ppl better if speed mode was built in for free. Overall though it's one of my favorite Android games ever. Maybe add some objective game modes like king of the hill, or protect the king etc. I sometimes find myself making mini games up in my head. Full Review

Finished in 2 hours. Easy. Let them fight. You have +1 more production and basically make a defence line and bring it forward one planet at a time. Don't kill off one whole team first. Let them both have only +3 production and no more whilst you have +7/8. Well. Who do you thinks gonna win? Just wipe one planet out each colour at a time.. And it's as easy as CSGO. Full Review

Wonderfully Strategic Yet Simple What at first seems like a simple & relaxing particle game smoothly develops into a highly engaging strategy game! It's generally hard to get me to pay in phone games, but in this case I was happy to support the dev's hard work. The additional levels that are unlocked by paying add well-designed challenges at varying difficulties. The Speed Mode unlock, (which at first sounded tacky), is actually a game changer, making all unlocked levels feel fresh again. Overall, an excellent strategy game for the phone! Full Review

Amazing. Especially in Fast Mode. Add new levels for purchase, pls! Love this game. It does have a Fast Mode, which you have to purchase. Definitely worth it. When I bought it, the dev threw in a few new levels for free as an added bonus. Sweeeeeet! Only negative is that the app hasn't been updated in a long time. Would be great to have new levels. Oh, and a button in the game that you can press to repeat your most recent move instead of having to select each planet time after time Full Review

Really fun rts game. Only complaint is that sometimes it doesn't register my taps or thinks I'm trying to move the screen when I'm trying to draw a circle around some units. And my phone is usually very touch sensitive so it must be the programming; doesn't adversely effect gameplay, yet (only on easy right now). Full Review

A great time killer Before attending a meeting or before class starts this awesome game helps me whiz through the the time. Good, game. I really like this game. I find it calming to play. I hope the levels after 3,are just as good. If so I'll definitely buy the bonus levels. Seriously, try this game out. I would echo what others said about adding multiplayer. That would be great! My wife likes this game too, so head to head would be fun. UPDATE: We've bought several packs and loved them. Well worth the money! Also, I just found out they are making a sequel...Constellations! Looks great, new twists, and will bring multiplayer!!! Full Review

Alot of fun. Easy to figure out, challenging to win. Only complaint is you have to play in slow motion unless you pay to access speed settings. Too dark Such a great game. It has so much more potential tho. My first suggestion would be have an option where you can lighten the screen and choose colors. My second suggestion which is the most important one I believe would be where the players can actually create their own level. One more thing I might add. Have the option of where you can grow your own planet even larger than before. Other than that this is a great game I really had a lot of fun with it Full Review

Brilliant! I play a lot of games, and this is the first I am reviewing. It is not just a beautiful treat, it refreshes and reshapes your strategic thinking. I am stopping myself from playing this again, as it is addictive, but it is just fantastic. Do note, the normal mode you get after downloading is slow. Tons of fun. Very addictive. Pretty visuals and audio. Smart AI. Fantastic game with one caveat. One round can take a long time unless you buy Speed Mode ($0.99 for me), but that makes the game much more difficult. I rated 4 stars instead of 5 because normal speed is too slow, while Speed Mode is just stupid fast. Auralux needs a medium speed, or the ability to let the player set the speed multiplier. Still, I love this game. Full Review

Addictive I did not expect this game to be so good. Simple, outstanding, and worth it. Only thing is normal is more like hard and hard is insane. Definitely a time killer. Only other thing is i think it would be cool to have the option to be a different color sun and while battling for other sun spots it would be cooler to have the colors blend together in the process making it even more visually appealing. Great! While technically an RTS, I get a nice feel of arcade, neon feel. This game not only has fluid controls, but a nice audio that interlocks with the clear graphics. The only request, though only for preferential reasons, is this: I would like to be able to select a hemispherical area for half star movements and such. Overall a great game. Great game Excellent game. I don't enter reviews often; I reserve that for really good (or really bad) apps. This one is a must have. It has great replay. It's free to play the basic levels and the additional levels are great and affordable. A round only takes 5 minutes, so it's a great time killer when I have a short down time. My only suggestion to the creator is, this game would be even more awesome with a level editor/creator. Full Review

Amazing I rarely give a strategy game 5 stars, but this game deserves it. The game is simple to learn, but with that simplicity comes a game that requires a great deal of strategy. This is not an easy game. For new players, i recommend learning and understanding the enemies' behavior. You need to remember that they are CPUs, so they can be manipulated if you know what to do.
