I have been using MFP regularly since last May abd have lost several pounds, and lsarbedquite a bit about myself and my eating habits. This is is a great tool for recording food and exercise,and a motivating social group. Adfree is actually still very doable, andadssre not particularly intrusive, but premium does adds few extra recording tools for you. Hint- not recording foods does not make them less bad for you. I really love tracking my food with this app. It has so many foods in its database that I don't have to end up adding foods and their nutritional values which has been a big complaint for me with other food log apps. It is also super helpful to have the nutrient value available to see throughout the day, and then you can figure out which vitamins and minerals you're missing. Full Review

For the most part I like this app. But for me it's missing 2 things. I wish it had a place to add supplements. I need to keep track of my magnesium, potassium and iron. It does show nutrition in my food. But my daily intake is off because I can't add my supplements. It doesn't have enough options in units. So I have to track separate and manually. Also, I feel this app is geared to calorie type ways of eating in the blogs. Some low carb stuff. I have yet to see Keto. So the recipes they offer have been little use. But the macros option for Keto is very good. Full Review

This App is easy to use. You can search just about any food source to log your calories. This App helps me stay focused on my calorie intake in order to reach my weight goal. It's so easy to over eat but with this app you will know exactly how many calories you are eating. This App also tells you if your eating right and will tell you your projected weight loss in 5 weeks based on your current eating habits. Grate app.I would love it if it would allow me to change the weight as well. The servings are grate can be adjusted but when i want to do the weight it doesn't work.Some bar codes aren't exact so we need to adjust it. And with the quick add button would be super if you could at least write the name like 80 kal carrots. BUT YA SUPEER APP. Give it a try lads will help you alot to stay on track. Full Review

I love it for tracking good and activity. Curious why there is no caloric expenditure for strength activities. Some difficulty getting the apps I have used for tracking steps to register, but eventually accomplished it and now works great. Overall, a great app that helped me get past my plateau and and am down to my lowest weight in many years! Full Review

A great app for tracking your calories. It has a huge database so you can easily find the nutritional value of any food from anywhere. You can also use it to keep track of how much you exercise, so you know how many calories are being burnt as well. And it provides a handy summary so you can see what meals your calories are coming from. There are also quite a few handy premium features, such as the meal planner, but even if you only use the app to track calories and nothing else, I would still highly recommend it. Full Review

I love how easy it is to count food intake calories. I love the size of the food database you have. My biggest problem is how it syncs with my fitbit. First day was perfect...day two my fitbit says 1800 calories burned but fitness pal says 6, next day is 0, next day is 12...can you please fix this or I will find one that the sync works properly. This app and its companion website has the most comprehensive database of foods that I have ever seen. I can count on one hand (literally!) the times I had to manually key in a food item. Although there can be an occasional sync issue, that is not the norm. Get this app if you are serious about tracking your food intake. It's simply the best one you can get and its FREE! Full Review

Syncs with many other apps like Fitbit and Withings. The food database is incredible. It contains all the food I know of, not only in English, but in Norwegian too. Edit: New version is missing the share button, so I can no longer save interesting articles in Evernote or Flipboard, or share with friends and family using Whatsapp. Full Review

This app is awesome keeping track of calories! The create a recipe is really useful for when I make homemade meals. Just scan in the ingredients...I used it first with my chocolate chip cookie recipe...I knew cookies were high in calories, but I didn't realize how high.... next I tried a cauliflower and elbow pasta dish and realized I couldn't eat a whole serving of it even though it tasted so yummy...I had been not estimating my calories correctly, but now with this app I am! Ä° used to love MFP, but not Ä° cant completey days anymore. Ä° keep getting an error that the app cant reach the server and yo try again later. Ä°ts still a great counter, but the completion made it stand out with the prediction and followers you can share with. I had tried this years ago when it was in the beginning stages. I am so impressed how far it has come. It works well with my Gear 3.Still has some kinks in it, but they are small and most likely will be fixed in the future. I definitely recommend it. I recently tried a competitor App which had been recommended to me. It had similar functions but it's database of food and barcodes was sadly lacking. I then returned to MyFitnessPal andsigned up to the paying package, linking to my Garmin. The interface is great and helps me keep track of the important things, whilst offering me suggestions and advice. Full Review

The food database is extensive, it contains pretty much all swedish foods (including vegan items) via a bar code search. It connects to my fitbit app so calorie/nutrition ends up therr, and my logged workouts sync with my logged heartrate. Perfect! Full Review

Have been using the app for 14 months. I have lost just over 4 stone.... easily. No significant changes to my diet as opposed to a little less on portion size. If you log it honestly and regularly you will make the changes you need to succeed. Love that it connects to my fit bit, if I move more I can eat more! Consume less move more. Back to basics! I've used this app for 5 years. It helped me realize just how many calories I was truly comsuming and make a change. I'm 100lbs down and don't use it much for myself anymore...but my boyfriend is now on a super restricted diet and this app has been a life saver this first week. Like the app. Started using it to figure out a health issue related to my diet. Only issue I tend to have is that it doesn't always sync with the Pacer app that tracks my steps. Like Fitness Pal a lot, however says connected to Runtastic Walking App. but does not share data. Suspect because Fitness Pal has its own walking App, UA. Fitness Pal is great for keeping up with calories eaten and other nutrition, good graphs etc. Having to manually put in walking time and calories burned from Runtastic. I have 8 years info in Runtastic so do not prefer to change to another walking, exercise app. Would have given a 5 otherwise. Full Review

Although I have only been using this app for about a week, I already feel like I can write a glowing review. I have never really been able to lose weight just because I really didn't understand how. With this app, I've already dropped 3lbs the first week. I LOVE that it keeps track of everything, (especially water) and breaks down how many grams of fat, protein, and carbs you should be eating (which can be customized to fit your goals). Logging is super easy with the barcode scanner and I'm so thrilled with this app. Definitely a must!! Full Review

This app was recommended by my doctor. It tracks nutritional values of everything I eat, and even tells me when I'm getting too much sodium, or going over my daily allowable fats or carbs. Im doing the keto diet. It helps me keep track of the foods i eat. The app isnt designed for keto food ratios but u can get it close. Its great because i can see exactly the carbs, fats and protein im eating. There's a little room for improvement and in time im sure it will be. Full Review

Highly recommend if you want to shed some pounds. I love that you can put in your own recipes as well as scanning in/typing in all your food choices for the day even if you go out to a restaurant. I don't use premium, but the app is fantastic regardless. You can plan ahead, save recipies and favorite meals. I personally love the bar code scanner, which is so easy to use and a lot more precise. It allows you to record your workouts and you can purchase a fitness watch as well. Full Review

Only been using it for a week, but I like it. It is easy to use, has a large data base of foods, and is forgiving. I don't feel like I am denying myself food. Instead I feel empowered. The only thing I have to do it keep a daily diary of what I've eaten. It's really that simple. There's no need to count calories when the app does it for you. As a diabetic I track carbs, fibre& nutrients. With the help of Fitness Pal my numbers are the best they have been in years. I am so happy that my friend suggested it to me. Is there a setting that changes the measurements to 100% imperial .... combination of metric & imperial is unhandy at times. Overall, this app is a great tool for maintaining & improving health. Overall I like the app, it's very useful. However, I have been logging my meals daily for going on 3+ years but the app randomly misses logged days and restarts the number of days in a row. The first time I had 400+ days then all of a sudden it started over. This last time I logged more than 525 days in a row and today it says I've only been logging for 5 days! Love the app, however the widget sucks. There's no option to keep your widget in the pull down menu like there is on the calorie count app. So I figured a widget would keeo it constantly in view. For some reason the widget takes up 6 square it doesn't need to. It's got the 3 across squares for the widget and then and entire row above and blow that it takes up but there's nothing even there. So basically it takes up a bunch of your home screen but the widget only shows a portion of it. Full Review

Reinstalling app doesn't work. Basically from the home screen widget, I go in the app and it takes to me a screen that goes dark and shows a plus sign on the right why can't I turn this off so when i click on the widget it goes straight to my breakfast lunch dinner screen without me having to press a few times to get to this? Entering foods eaten is easy because the data base of foods is huge, including most of the brand names and restaurants. Also, it was easy to save my favorite variety of exercise routines. I have used the free myfitnesspal for years and have liked the large database and ability to enter my own foods and recipes. I upgraded to premium this month in the hopes of having more control and new features since I am starting keto diet and program. Disappointed that there is no feature that can be set to display net carbs rather than total carbs. All the data is already in the app but it is more work to click around and do the math and make notes. Please make the net carbs an option in a future update! Full Review

I love all the tools and resources I get with the subscription. It takes the work out of everything. I just scan my food, it inputs everything, calculates macros. It's organized nicely. I get daily recipes that are really easy to make! I stay updated on health news. It really is a great tool! I just wish it would sync up with my Samsung health app! This app forces you to stop kidding yourself about what you're eating. It has a barcode scanner to capture nutritional and caloric information about the food you are eating, or you can search the app's data base, or even enter the information manually. It has an exercise calculator so you can figure out how many extra calories you burned.
