The gif portion doesn't work! It says "image too large" so I have to google search it, save it and then send it. If that was fixed and there were more options for backgrounds it'd be an easy 5 stars!!! I love it but those two things are keeping me from a 5 star rating. Please fix and upgrade and I'd be more than happy to change my review! Full Review

It's a fantastic keyboard that works great and automatically detects if I'm swipe-typing in German or English, which is impressive. Only the word recognition when swipe-typing could be better (e.g. no I don't want to write "airways", I want to write "always") and I really wish I could choose a different set of smilies (not emojis) because the current ones are useless. I'd much prefer what the iOS keyboard offers; things like Lenny face and other asian-stemming emotes. Full Review

Would like some more customisations. Can you please provide a tutorial at the start on how to use gesture delete and gesture cursor, it was really confusing. Also add an option to delete single letter from glided words instead of deleting the whole word. Would like to customise individual keys and key pop colours too. Please checkout SwiftKey and Fleksy keyboard they have many useful & simple useful customisations. Full Review

I LOVE that you can customise the keyboard, however, where is the predictive txt when using browsers?this was a BIG part for me when using swiftkey and quite basic, apparently its been a query for YEARS! And still no predictios/suggestions.. please fix and will come back from swiftkey..also where's the clipboard access?swiftkey offers this for convenience and everything is right there for instant access at your a quickpaced everchanging world,i think this is important.. Update: it's cool that the word prediction is there now during browser usage.. but still no clipboard access.. i realized this when trying to use google documents...going back to swiftkey.. It's just superb! Transliteration feature for Indian languages comes very useful while chatting in native language. I hope this transliteration will become more accurate and self learning in upcoming updates. Unfortunately, I don't like the currently used symbols for (division) '/' and (multiplication) '*' in number keyboard, rather I would like to see conventional '÷' and '×' symbols in next update. Also there can be added one more feature of auto-calculation. Let's say I have typed 3÷6×9 now as soon as I hit '=' key GBoard should automatically calculate and insert result 4.5 next to '=' symbol. That would be really great and smart ! Full Review

Great app but I'll leave it at ⭐⭐ till this is fixed. Please can you include punctuations on the alphabet keys? I mean the basic punctuations. Like the way the numbers are included... Its really stressful pressing the "?123" button each time i want to punctuate. Also the emojis, can you categorize them into groups and make them slide up and down, and not sideways? Thanks. I'll update more as i notice it. I really want to enjoy this app. Full Review

The keyboard is good but for some reason, I'll lose any of my personal dictionary words when using it throughout the day. My work around is force stopping Gboard, and then bringing the keyboard back up restarts they dictionary. This occurs several times during the day an has been going on since 2016 I believe. One of the few keyboards that supports one-handed mode, to make it easy to type with one hand on larger phones. Swipe typing is accurate and autocorrect is decent. All the other bells and whistles like search, GIFs and translate are nice too. Only problem with this keyboard is the lack of sizing options in one handed mode. It used to have a lot more sizes. Now it hardly changes at all. Full Review

Ok, I love this keyboard. Or I loved it, until a recent update where it's word predictions and choices just went haywire. Had to reset my whole dictionary to fix it somewhat but it's still not like it used to be. It DESPERATELY NEEDS more word suggestions than the 3 it thinks I need as well. Too many times I swipe a word perfectly and the one I'm looking for is not there. Please fix. Full Review

Thanks a million for adding Japanese, AND for adding both a keyboard version of it and the common 4-direction pad that is used most often in Japan. Really wonderful, and the dictionary seems to be better than some other apps at knowing how to conjugate verbs, etc. I think there's literally only one thing i need, and that is glide input on the keyboard version of Japanese. It's curiously absent, and I'm wondering why. Is glide typing harder to predict due to the complexity of the writing system? Ah, and i just noticed... Can you help me automatically capitalize the letter i when i type it by itself? Um, i think i need it. Full Review

In general, I love this keyboard, but due to a bug I will leave it at 2 stars. I really depend on the personal dictionary keyboard suggestions, and about once every couple weeks they stop appearing. While this is easily fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling, there are a lot of customizations I make to the keyboard and it's extremely frustrating to have to reset all of those. If that is fixed, this is definitely a 5 star app. Full Review

Great keyboard with minor improvements needed I love Gboard, but the capitalisation of German words does not work properly. There are some words which can be capitalised or not, depending on the context (mal/Mal, frage/Frage, etc.). Gboard invariably capitalises them, and then I have to go back every time and make a correction, which is annoying. I wish that, for these words, Gboard would just accept the input, whether capitalised or not. Also, it would be great if there was an easier way to continue a word: If I want to write "capitalisation", for example, I type "cap" and press on the suggested "capital". Then I have to press space and then backspace inorder to be offered the suggestion "capitalisation". Full Review

Would love to see emoji prediction in the top bar based and how/when you use them and what you type. Would also love to see symbols as long presses on keys. Deleting words should be a short press on the delete button. I'm a Swiftkey user and those few things are what is stopping me from using it full time. Full Review

For years I was a TouchPal user then when TouchPal got all weird I switch to SwiftKey I use SwiftKey for a long time and just for the heck of it I decided to try gboard. Oh my God amazing highly customizable features that I have not seen on any other keyboard. The only thing I would recommend is like on SwiftKey a access to a clipboard, instead of just access to the Android Clipboard. Full Review

It works great but please add the option to prioritize words without diacritical marks over words with diacritics when typing in Spanish! It's super annoying having to go back and de-accentuate a word that was auto suggested with an accent when in reality I wanted to use the non accentuated word. Marked accents change meaning in Spanish, but it's easier to understand a phrase with a word that doesn't have a diacritical mark when it should, than reading an accented word when it shouldn't have the accent. Who thought it was a good idea that after typing the fourth word in a sentence, the FIRST word would be autocorrected to something else?? If it was wrong, I wouldn't be typing all the way to the fourth word already. Now I have to keep track of your "smart" autocorrect for previous words too!? Please, PLEASE, learn from iOS and Windows. I like this, very fast and responsive and handle multilanguage glide typing very well. Still waiting for these for top mark. Full Review

I've been using this for a couple hours now and it's already made me extremely happy. When my newest Samsung phone didn't seem to have the same Swype keyboard that was simple and user friendly I tried several other keyboards, all of them regularly requiring me to delete words and sometimes inexplicable multi word offerings. So annoying. Gboard is exactly what I need. It is like a best friend who "just gets me”. Thanks a million Google! Full Review

Spell check and suggestions needs to be fixed. It's an embarrassment that the spell check knows I've spelled a word a wrong but has no suggestions for how to fix it. If I Google the same spelling it comes right up as exactly what I meant. What's going on!? Then when I tap on the word to move the cursor to fix the word manually it highlights the whole word so I then have to tap somewhere else and then start correcting it. Full Review

Wow. What more can I say? Love the swipe functions. Ingenious. Being able to navigate to the middle of a word was a real pain in the older keyboards, not anymore! Love the ability to delete previous word with a gesture too. Ingenious, absolutely ingenious. If there's one thing that could be improved, it would be the ability to hide the symbols yet retain the long press option to pop them up. It would take to long to learn where they are. Full Review

Constantly "corrects" words. It adds apostrophes where they shouldn't be (ie. we'll vs well). Very frustrating. Autocorrects words that shouldn't be changed (ie. changes "hate" to "have"). Sometimes doesn't automatically capitalize the first character after a sentence. Pretty mediocre keyboard by app standards. Pitiful compared to Google standards; their apps are usually superior.
