We added the word 'Medicine' to our app's name but kept its heart and soul (and content) the same. We still put internal medicine literature at your fingertips and are still continuing to deliver 3+ new reviews of classic and contemporary landmark publications every month.

Powered by Wiki Journal Club, Journal Club for Android focuses on the top articles in internal medicine and puts landmark trials at your fingertips. Written by physicians, these article summaries are distilled into bite-size morsels that clinicians can digest quickly. Think of it as CliffsNotes for medical research.

Journal Club includes many landmark clinical trials published in the past century, focusing on the practice-changing studies that internists and medical subspecialists ought to know handily. That means we're more likely to cover the 1981 NCDS study of dialysis in ESRD, and less likely to cover your favorite study of lixisenatide in patients with diabetes that's hot off the press.

Features:
-Simple, intuitive interface
-Concise bottom lines
-Relevant major points
-Links to PubMed and primary literature
-Sort trials by name, date, specialty, and disease
-Share summaries with colleagues
-Integrated search

Excellent app. The most useful part is that it explains why the trial was done, what the results meant, what was affected in the guideline and what the criticisms were. The data presentation were nicely displayed. The journals can be sorted by time of publish and it gave me a time sense of how the evidence emerged. These are the pearls that are not found by simply downloading the journal article. Yes, it is spoonfeeding. But you have to be spoonfed for some time before your horizons are widened enough to add your own interpretation. Not all journal articles were included, but no database is perfect. The inclusion has been impressive. Please keep up the good work. Full Review

Lacking Nephrology updates It's a great attempt. Key Nephrology trials are missing. No currency in this subspec area. E.g. Hemodiafiltration trials missing. Peritoneal Dialysis adequacy studies missing. RENAL trial missing. Recent ELAIN and AKIKI trials missing. Paucity of transplant literature. These can be improved. Please note. Thanks for doing this. Impressed from the start and it just keeps getting better Sincerely this app has really helped me through my medical training. I bought it when I was in my last year of medical school and it hasn't failed me. Helped me countless times on the wards with pimping and important, practice changing studies for the last 30 years that you not only have easy access to but are quick reads, especially for someone with a short attention span like me. I can't find a better app that does that. Definitely a must for all junior docs and physicians who want to keep up-to-date!! Full Review

I am a PGY 3 Internal medicine resident. No other app has been of greater help (maybe uptodate) as this one during my residency. Would love if they could add major studies (new) in addition to trials. I would stop reading all journals that day. :) Full Review

Greedy support team Support team is basically a group of greedy techs. I changed my phone and asked them to transfer my credits so I won't have to pay for the app again (like the way it is in 99% of other apps) and the team told me to buy it again for the new device. It is standard for paid apps to be transferred to the new phones. I had 7 other paid apps and all 7 of them were transferred because the support team was willing to help. Full Review

Quite possibly the BEST app invented This is a downright genius app that EVERY med student, resident, and physician should have. It's an amazing, easy to access tool to have as a refresher for articles you have read, or a quick run through of papers you haven't read. The designers are incredibly responsive to emails and suggestions, and this was hands-down the best $3 I have spent! Full Review

The app is great (updated) The app covers a lot of landmark trials, and does so in a manner that is consistent with mainstream intepretation of the results. It allows you to pull up trustworthy intepretations in seconds. The one star reduction is for the need for more trials to be included in the app. Two trials have been added to my knowledge since I purchased the app a month ago... So they're moving in the right direction. Update: 6 trials uploaded in the last 4 weeks. This app will gain a lot of ground with that kind of expansion Full Review
